Components Manufacturing Facility – This 200,000 SF plant was designed to develop and test nonmetallic military aircraft components fabricated from plastics, composites, and other nonmetallic materials to replace standard metals in aircraft.
Machine Shop – Austin relocated Lockheed’s Metallic Fabrication Center to a 125,000 SF facility, providing the company the flexibility to expand and include the sheet metal shop and process area. The building includes HVAC, oil mist filtration, particulate exhaust, solvent exhaust, ovens, cranes, special access requirements, a building envelope, and chilled and cooling water.
Renovation of Building 608 – Lockheed’s Building 608 was an existing two-story, 100,000 SF security, training and general administration building. Austin upgraded the entire facility to meet building code requirements, and remodeled 52,000 SF for administrative activities. |
