Continental Airlines Line Maintenance Hangar at Denver International Airport houses maintenance activities previously performed at Stapleton International Airport. The hangar is located on a 60-acre site at the north end of the airport.
Austin designed and engineered both the hangar and the site infrastructure. The hangar building includes a hangar bay, shops, and distribution warehouse. Total building area is 90,000 SF. The hangar bay has a clear span of 323 feet and is 260 feet deep.
The hangar was designed to accommodate the Boeing 777 series of aircraft, in combination with other narrowbody transports. Clear height is 75 feet to accommodate aircraft jacking. A tail pocket is built into the roof trusses to accommodate up to B747-400 size aircraft. |
