The Boeing Company Paint Hangar Facility

A significant increase in aircraft production prompted The Boeing Company to expand its aircraft painting facilities in Renton, Washington. This situation gave Boeing the opportunity to create a state-of-the-art paint hangar, the product of a major renovation and expansion of an existing facility.

An area of 30,000 square feet is dedicated to painting. An additional area of 20,000 square feet was remodeled for offices and storage.

Enlarged by 16,000 square feet, the hangar is now capable of handling two different types of aircraft in a wet/dry painting system, with an output of seven planes per month.
