Univision Communications Inc., the nation’s leading Spanish language television network, produces a full menu of programming for national and international audiences. When Univision decided to consolidate its production and broadcast operations, it chose to renovate and expand an existing building in suburban Miami.

Interior renovation of the structure resulted in office space for the majority of the network’s departments. An expansion of the office area was created to accommodate additional offices, studios, production facilities and storage. Provisions for a future studio were made within the storage area. Designed for optimum efficiency, control rooms are configured so that equipment is directly accessible to production personnel. Raised floor in the technical center affords cabling flexibility. A complete fire protection and alarm system has been installed.

Located on 8.5 acres in a picturesque resort area, the state-of-the-art network operations center also houses Univision’s Miami television station, WLTV-Channel 23.
