Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation

Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation (ABSC), a leading manufacturer of wheels, brakes, brake control and other related systems for the commercial, military and general aviation markets, was outgrowing its carbon manufacturing facility in Akron, Ohio. Unable to expand at it's current location, ABSC first gave The Austin Company the challenge of finding the optimum location on which to build a new facility for its carbon manufacturing processes.

After extensive research and analysis, The Austin Company's Facility Location Group recommended the Danville site. ABSC purchased the site in June 2005. Once the site was purchased, Austin began preliminary design engineering efforts to determine the project scope, cost and schedule. Ultimately, Austin provided full design-build services for this project.
