The Boeing Company asked The Austin Company to help relocate its subsidiary, Precision Gear Inc., from its location of 50 years. Austin was also responsible for the relocation and installation of Precision Gear’s existing gear production equipment and the procurement and installation of new production equipment. The project was implemented over a 12-month period.

Precision Gear uses the renovated facility to manufacture gears and transmissions for helicopters, including Boeing’s CH-47 Chinook and McDonnell Douglas’ AH-64 Apache helicopters.
