Los Alamos National Laboratory

The Austin Company designed, engineered and constructed an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), jointly operated by the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and Los Alamos County. The University of California awarded The Austin Company the contract on behalf of the United States Department of Energy (DOE).

The EOC houses the offices of the Laboratory’s Emergency Management and Response Staff (EMRS); administrative staff; and personnel from the Los Alamos County Police, Fire and 911 Joint Dispatch Center. The facility was designed to facilitate emergency responses associated with the laboratory, such as chemical and radiological occurrences, as well as wildfires.
