Sustainability & LEED®

The Austin Company has made sustainability a part of everything we do – not only in our work, but also within our company culture. Sustainable design practiced at Austin is an integrated process that is treated no differently than any other program element. The client's sustainable requirements are balanced against the budget to find the right solution for each item.

We believe that sustainable design is good design. We have demonstrated with built projects that when you design for economy in life cycle costs, as well as in initial capital costs, sustainable design is the result. Our personnel are trained in both sustainable design practice and the actual construction and facility commissioning to achieve these results.

Austin is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and many of Austin's architects are Accredited Professionals (AP) in the LEED® facility certification process, with specialties in Building Design and Construction (BD + C).
